USGS funding up in House bill

Abstract

HR 2686, the Department of Interior and Related Agencies FY 1992 appropriations bill, was approved by the House on June 25. Included in the bill was $589.5 million for the U.S. Geological Survey, a $18.8 million increase over FY 1991 and $26.4 million over the president's request.

The National Mapping, Geography, and Survey Program was budgeted at $137 million, $4.7 million over FY 1991 funding and $1.3 million over the president's request.
