The National Science Foundation has released its current plan for fiscal year 1992, which details how it will allocate its budget from October 1991 to September 1992. NSF received an overall increase of 11.12%, almost the same as last year's 11.2% increase.
Education and human resources garnered the greatest increase of any category in the foundation for FY 1992, representing a 44.25% increase over FY 1991. The growth in this directorate's allotment, in fact, represents 55.41% of the foundation's entire increase this year. Education and human resources received $220 million in the 1990 plan, $322 million in the 1991 plan, and $465 million in 1992.
