The Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) has received a $500,000 grant from the Palisades Geophysical Institute, Inc., to establish the J. Lamar Worzel Assistant Scientist Fund. WHOI must raise an additional $500,000 to match the challenge grant. The $1 million will be used as endowment to support bright, young scientists pursuing careers in geophysical oceanography at WHOI.
