Abstract

Move over Cindy Crawford and Arnold Schwartzenegger. What's hot on the beach this summer is not the usual standbys: A new experiment about how beach cusps are formed in the swash zone of the beach is what's turning heads this season.

When the data are in, hopefully, oceanographers will have an idea about what exactly causes the nearly regularly spaced strings of scallops to arise along some ocean and lake beaches and sediments.
