Science policy study hearings announced

The U.S. House of Representatives' Science Committee has announced a series of six hearings to gather testimony from experts concerning the National Science Policy Study. The study, led by science committee Vice Chairman Vernon Ehlers (R-Mich.), is reviewing the U.S. national science policy and working to develop a new, long-range science and technology policy. The hearings are scheduled as follows: March 3: Defining a science and technology vision—A group of futurists will discuss the future role of science and technology and its relationship with the American people.
