New marine center

A fish protein concentrate recently produced from New England Hake is expected to feed thousands of children in less developed nations. A program to help these countries to further utilize resources from the sea has been announced by the University of Rhode Island. With a grant of $750,000 from the Agency for International Development, the University will establish a new International Center for the Development of Marine Resources. The center will concentrate initially on the problems of salt water fisheries and their potential usefulness in various countries.
