A comprehensive review of Work Group activities and consideration of international arrangements and, particularly, post-Decade proposals were the dominant items on the agenda at the tenth meeting of the United States National Committee for the International Hydrological Decade (USNC IHD).
The meeting began with a brief discussion of the international aspects of environmental concerns, which includes hydrology, by Donald King, the Science Adviser to the Special Assistant Secretary of State for Environmental Affairs in the Office of Environmental Affairs (OEA). All U.S. IHD international dealings go through the State Department.
