Computer Sciences Corporation has expanded its time-sharing services to the petroleum industry with the offering of a package of reservoir simulation programs. Petroleum engineers will now be able to simulate the behavior of reservoirs under a wide range of conditions through CSC's nationwide time-sharing network, called INFONET. The new service provides a fast, economical means of understanding why a reservoir behaves as it does and enables engineers to predict the performance of a reservoir under varying plans of development and production.
