In connection with the Fifty-Second Annual Meeting of AGU, a special symposium on the Use of Artificial Satellites for Geodesy is being sponsored jointly by the American Geophysical Union, the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and the U.S. Army Topographic Command. Two previous symposia on this subject took place in 1962 in Washington, D.C., and in 1965 in Athens, Greece.
