Abstract

The more than 550 scientists who attended the International Symposium on Man-Made Lakes have a new meter-stick by which to judge future scientific conferences. Specialists in many disciplines concerned with problems and environmental effects of bodies of water created by man met at the University of Tennessee Center, Knoxville, Tennessee, May 3–7, 1971, for five days of intensive plenary sessions.
