Abstract

The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics will hold its Eighth Annual Meeting and Technical Display October 25–28, 1971, at the Sheraton-Park Hotel in Washington, D.C. There will be twelve panel sessions concerning the following topics: aerospace and urban technology; high-speed ground transportation; the aerospace professional and his future; STOL and VTOL; technology and national growth; technology and the voter; long range air transportation; technology and the environment; the CARD study; the criteria for a balanced space study; science in space; and quasi-government organizations and the way to handle large federal projects. Meeting plans call for participation by DOT, DOD, HUD, NSF, the departments of Labor and Interior, NASA, NASC, universities, industries, and congressional members. AGU members who attend will be accorded member privileges.
