The National Ocean Survey of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has announced the field research program for 1972 to be conducted from the Pacific Marine Center. This facility, located in Seattle, serves as home port for the seven NOS ships based on the west coast, which will be carrying out the research projects for NOS and the Pacific Oceanographic Laboratory of MOAA.

The projects will concentrate on the continental shelf and slope area of the northeast Pacific Ocean.
