Abstract

The School of Engineering at California State College, Los Angeles, is offering a short course for engineers, ‘Statistical and Probability Analysis of Hydrologic Systems,’ to be held March 4, 11, and 18, 1972 (three consecutive Saturdays).

This course is designed for engineers, hydrologists, and geophysicists interested in the methods of hydrologic system analysis. It has three purposes: (1) to present a comprehensive survey of the statistical and probability theory; (2) to provide in-depth training in the application of statistical and probability techniques to the analysis, design, and planning of hydrologic systems with emphasis on frequency analysis, correlation and regression systems analysis, hydrologic time series, sequential generation model and computer applications; and (3) to introduce results of current developments and advancements in the application of these techniques.
