The Second International Symposium in Hydrology will be held September 11–13, 1972, at Colorado State University, Fort Collins, Colorado. The symposium will cover floods, droughts, and decision-making with inadequate hydrologic data. The first two topics of the symposium, floods and droughts, will critically review existing concepts and methodologies used in water resources applications, and will introduce new ideas, concepts, and methods to solve problems. The third topic, decision making with inadequate hydrologic data, is important because inadequate data are the rule rather than the exception. Old and new methods of decision-making with inadequate data will be examined.
