A Workshop on Environmental Problems in the Extractive Industries will be held at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, June 11–14. The workshop is being sponsored by the Division of Continuing Education of the University, the Geological Society of America, and other major national associations.
The workshop is aimed at generalists and specialists involved in resource extraction, mineral processing, pollution law, and waste handling. It offers a forum where solutions to industrial pollution problems of the mining, petroleum, and water industry can be extensively discussed. Mining and petroleum engineers, geologists, resource managers, pollution control officials, university professors, and independent consultants are especially invited.
