Dividing the Waters—An Advanced Text

This book fills a need that has been evident for some time, namely a need for a synthesis of the present state of the art of applying systems analysis techniques to water resource allocation problems. The book is aimed at the senior undergraduate or first-year graduate student. It as assumes that the reader is familiar with the common techniques of systems analysis, such as linear programing and dynamic programing, and so the author concentrates his attention on using these and other related methods in the water resource allocation field, using examples drawn from the literature, which includes many of his own publications.
