In this issue of EOS, John Brandt reviews Physics of the Solar Corona edited by C. J. Marcis. The reviewer points to the usefulness of symposium proceedings but decries their cost. He suggests that it is the responsibility of conference organizers to adopt methods of making inexpensive proceedings volumes available. To give the reader of EOS a better perspective on this problem, we outline below several ways proceedings can be prepared and give some order of magnitude figures for each based on AGU's experience.
