Abstract

The Interdisciplinary Symposium on Advanced Concepts and Techniques in the Study of Snow and Ice Resources drew 118 participants to the Asilomar Conference Grounds on the Monterey peninsula. They included not only scientists, engineers, and water managers interested in snow and ice hydrology per se, but also a significant number of workers with expertise in instrumentation, data management systems, and the use of a variety of electronic and nuclear techniques in remote sensing.
