Abstract

The U.S. IFYGL Project Office has moved from Rockville, Maryland, to Ann Arbor, Michigan, where it is the principal component of the newly formed Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory (GLERL) of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).

GLERL includes the IFYGL Project Office and scientists from the NOAA/National Ocean Survey's Lake Survey Center in Detroit (and will utilize some of the LSC's facilities, such as the 65-foot R.V. Shenehon). The laboratory is the newest of the chain of 18 NOAA/Environmental Research Laboratories (whose headquarters is in Boulder, Colorado).
