Abstract

Advanced Concepts and Techniques in the Study of Snow and Ice Resources is the title of the 790-page proceedings volume from the symposium of the same name held at Asilomar Conference Grounds, Monterey, California, in December 1973. The volume was published by the National Academy of Sciences in July 1974.

The book contains the full text and illustrations of 70 of the 71 papers presented at the interdisciplinary symposium, organized under the 7 section topics of the meeting: Information Needs and Distinguishing Characteristics, Snow and Ice—Distinguishing Characteristics, Information Systems, Radar Techniques, Remote Sensing Techniques, Nuclear Techniques, and Miscellaneous Techniques.
