The annual meeting of the Inter-Union Commission on Geodynamics was held in Zurich, Switzerland, during August 1974 in conjunction with the International Symposium on Crustal Movements organized by the Commission on Recent Crustal Movements (CRCM) of the International Association of Geodesy (IAG) with the collaboration of Working Group 7 of the Inter-Union Commission on Geodynamics. The CRCM is also concerned with details of recent crustal movements that are of less importance to geodynamics, whereas the Inter-Union Commission on Geodynamics (IGC) is concerned with vertical movements over a longer time span, so that the two organizations complement each other very well. To further cooperate with IGC, President Boulanger of IAG and of CRCM and P. Vyskocil, secretary of CRM, kindly agreed to participate in the activities of Working Group 7 of the ICG.
