The U.S. Geological Survey has announced establishment of a new unit— the Office of Land Information and Analysis (LIA).
The new office consolidates several multidisciplinary land resources and environmental impact programs and activities. It will integrate an existing staff of over a hundred and a budget of about $15.3 million for the 1975 fiscal year.
