Abstract

The First International Conference on Physics in Industry, a conference proposed and supported by the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics (IUPAP) and organized by the National Committee for Physics of the Royal Irish Academy, will be held on March 9–13, 1976, in Dublin, Ireland. This conference is in response to the growing interest in applied physics expressed by several national committees of the IUPAP and will serve as a forum where physicists from industry, government laboratories, and universities can exchange experiences in problem areas and knowledge of recent advances. In addition to the invited presentations, there will be ample time for the presentation of contributed papers and for formal and informal discussions.
