Seismic data available

The National Geophysical and Solar-Terrestrial Data Center has recently acquired additional multichannel common depth point (CDP) seismic reflection data. Survey lines as shown in the accompanying figure are now available.

These data are being collected from the Atlantic, Pacific, and Alaskan coastal areas as part of a program by the U.S. Geological Survey to gain a better understanding of the general geologic framework of the continental shelf, slope, and rise and its relationship to onshore geology and to help assess the petroleum potential of the continental margin.
