Sites for geodetic surveys

The National Geodetic Survey of the National Ocean Survey, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, has established a Geodynamics Group to maximize the benefits available from basic survey data and to respond to the increasing demands for such data made by the geodynamics community. Funds in the amount of $100,000 have been authorized for October 1, 1977, through September 30, 1978, for National Geodetic Survey personnel to do surveying fieldwork at sites of geodynamic interest that are proposed by academic scientists. The survey data will be made available to the academic community in addition to other geodetic data that are currently available.
