The National Science Foundation has announced plans to provide about $3.0 million over a 5-year period to support laboratory experimental research on building structures that use large-scale testing facilities. The program will last from October 1979 through September 1984.
Research projects will be conducted jointly by U.S. and Japanese investigators, using facilities available in the U.S. and in Japan (such as Tsukuba facility of the Japanese Ministry of Construction).
