Atmospheric studies by satellite

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has selected 26 scientific investigations to be studied for possible inclusion aboard two Upper-Atmosphere Research Satellite missions proposed for the late 1980's.

The missions will focus on a comprehensive investigation of the earth's stratosphere, mesosphere, and lower thermosphere to better understand the earth's upper atmosphere, the response of the ozone layer to changes, and the role of the upper atmosphere in climate and climate variability.
