Six grants were awarded to recent postdoctoral scientists by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to support on-campus research in atmospheric and ocean sciences and fisheries. Two of the six projects relate directly to geophysical research.
The recipients will establish a visiting relationship with a NOAA laboratory or facility, according to the Office of University Affairs. The six research projects were chosen from 36 proposals. Announcements for the next round of awards are expected to appear in the Federal Register in January.
