The Association of Geoscientists for International Development (AGID), in February, opened new global headquarters at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) in Bangkok, Thailand. Prinya Nutalaya is AGID's president.
Housed in AIT's geotechnical division, AGID leaves its old home in Caracas, Venezuela. The former secretariat, under the direction of Alirio Bellizzia, now operates as a regional office for Latin America and the Caribbean. A new regional office for Africa also has been established at Ahmadu Bello University in Nigeria.
