Abstract

At the invitation of the Science Council of Japan and the Geodetic Society of Japan, the International Association of Geodesy (IAG) held its general meeting in Tokyo from May 7 to 15, 1982.

The participants at the general meeting numbered 360: 170 from Japan and 190 from abroad, of which 47 came from the United States, 19 from the Federal Republic of Germany, 10 from France, and 10 from Canada. Asian and African countries also sent delegations: 12 participants from the People's Republic of China, eight from the Republic of Korea, eight from the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and others.
