According to data released by the College Placement Council for the report year ending July, 1983, the job market for graduates in geophysics, engineering, and science reflects the reality of economic recovery. The number of job offers was down sharply, but this did not reflect the number of positions filled. At the bachelor's level, for example, there were 33,604 offers this spring, compared with 51,290 a year ago. The number of acceptances was estimated to have been about the same.
