Abstract

I apologize to Dr. Perreault and Stanford Telecommunications, Inc., for my lack of precision in the subject article. A more proper statement would have been “The first receiver to become commercially available for centimenter-level surveying is the Macrometer Model V-1000 Interferometric Surveyor, manufactured by Macrometrics, Inc., of Woburn, Massachusetts.” We at the National Geodetic Survey are well aware of the important role played by STI in the development of the GPS system.
