Abstract

For the first time ever the scientific sessions of the AGU Fall and ASLO Winter Meeting were held in the Civic Auditorium in San Francisco. The American Society of Limnology and Oceanography joined AGU once again this year, guaranteeing the largest AGU meeting ever held. The Civic Auditorium provided the necessary space to accommodate all oral sessions, poster sessions, and exhibits in one facility. The advantages and disadvantages of this facility were reviewed at the end of the meeting by the Program Committee, and several improvements for the future were recommended. The Meetings Committee will also be reviewing the results of a survey on the meeting.
