The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has selected 14 scientists to form the science definition team for scientific studies in oceanography and meteorology using data from the NASA Scatterometer (NSCAT). NSCAT is an active microwave instrument designed to measure wind speed and direction near the sea surface.
