Abstract

“My prime responsibility is to see that this journal continues to publish solid science at the forefront of the field in a timely fashion,” according to Thomas J. Birmingham, editor of the Journal of Geophysical Research-Space Physics. Birmingham, a physicist at the Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) in Greenbelt, Md., stressed the importance of the peer evaluation process in assuring that this objective is met.
