Radioactivity and oceanography



The First International Symposium on Radioactivity and Oceanography was held during June 1–5, 1987, in Cherbourg, France. The theme of the meeting was “Radionuclides: A Tool for Oceanography.” The symposium was cosponsored by the French Society of Nuclear Energy (SFEN) and the French National Institute of Marine Technology (INTM), with support from 13 other organizations. The organizers report that 154 registered participants from 17 nations attended the symposium. The languages of the meeting were French and English; simultaneous translations were provided.
