The second Japan-U.S. Seminar on Terrestrial Rare Gases took place in Yellowstone National Park, Wyo., in early September 1986. Its refereed sponsorship by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science and the U.S. National Science Foundation testifies to continued progress in this subfield of geochemistry since the first of these seminars in Hakone National Park in 1977. Twenty-eight papers in eight categories were assigned to “reporters” whose summaries, brutally condensed, appear below. The names given are those of the presenters only.
