NSF seeks nominations for Waterman Award



The National Science Foundation is asking for nominations for the 14th annual Alan T.Waterman Award. The award recognizes outstanding work by a young researcher in any field of science, mathematics, or engineering and is designed to encourage further highquality research.

The award was established in 1975 to mark the 25th anniversary of NSF and to honor Waterman, the first director of the Foundation. The recipient of the award receives as much as $500,000 for up to 3 years of research or advanced study in mathematical, physical, medical, biological, engineering, social, or other sciences at the institution of the recipient's choice.
