Earthwatch Funds Field Research

  • Anonymous

The Center for Field Research, Watertown, Mass., has designated geological field research as a priority for Earthwatch support. The center will award more than $5 million to 200 projects in 1988 and 1989. Grants range from $7500 to $100,000. The funds come from contributions of Earthwatch field volunteers, so projects applying for support must need direct field assistance as well as money to be eligible. For more information contact Dede Robbins, Associate Director, Center for Field Research, 680 Mount Auburn St., P.O. Box 403, Watertown, MA 02272; tel. 617–926–8200. Preliminary proposals are due 18 months before intended project date; funding decisions are made monthly.
