Two videotapes on seismological topics are now available from Bruce A. Bolt, Seismograph Station, University of California, Berkeley, Berkeley, CA 94720. T h e two tapes are the first of a series to be produced.
The first, “Mapping Earthquakes” (35 minutes), uses computer graphics to provide an introductory account of intensity, hypocentral location, magnitude estimation, and the patterns of time and space sequence of earthquakes. It is suitable for undergraduate courses in geology and geophysics.
