Paradoxes of Italian seismicity

Authors

Abstract

Ten years after Europe's largest earthquake of the past half-century, scientists will gather in the heart of Italy's earthquake country to assess the current state of study of active tectonics and seismic hazards in the region. The meeting, organized by the Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica, Rome, and sponsored by the major Italian research institutions, will be held in Sorrento November 19–24, 1990.
