Sky's the limit for summer atmospheric research students



It came down to the wire for Zachary Kemp, a 2001 graduate of Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia, who begins graduate studies in applied mathematics at Texas Tech University in Lubbock this fall.

Kemp finished writing a new Fortran 77 computer program to help relate the speed of tropical cyclones and their associated rainfall just a few nights before his July 26 research presentation, as part of the Goddard/Howard Fellowship in Atmospheric Sciences, or GoHFAS, 2001 research colloquium showcase.
