Call for more U.S. renewable energy

“We must explore ways to better capture the Sun's light, the sky's wind, the land's bounty and the Earth's heat to provide energy security for America's families,” U.S. Secretary of the Interior Gail Norton told attendees at the National Conference on Renewable Energy, held on November 28 in Washington, D.C.

The conference, co-sponsored by the Interior and Energy departments, focused on the best ways to increase production of renewable energy—wind, solar, and geothermal—on public lands.
