Six Central American nations have signed an agreement to improve coastal habitats, including mangrove swamps, beaches, and coral reefs.
Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama signed the Convention on Cooperation in the Protection and Sustainable Development of the Marine and Coastal Environment of the Northeast Pacific on 18 February.
