Summary

Measurements of physical properties of rocks at high pressures and temperatures are reported, and the relations of these properties to the structure of the crust and upper mantle is discussed. The rocks studied include acid, basic, ultrabasic, sedimentary and metamorphic rocks from Sakhalin, Kazakhstan, Caucasus, and the Kola Peninsula.
