Summary

We investigate the flow in the Earth's fluid core induced by the luni-solar tidal forces. When the frequency of some tidal waves is close to the nearly diurnal wobble eigenfrequency, a resonance process occurs. We intend to search for the epoch of exact resonance in the geological past and the resonant amplification with respect to present-day amplitude. Some geodynamical consequences are discussed.
