Angular potential patterns of electrostatic electron cyclotron waves radiated from a point source

Abstract

The angular potential pattern of electrostatic electron cyclotron waves radiated from a point source in a magnetoplasma has been obtained theoretically in an analytic form. The result is generally applicable for calculating the potential patterns for all frequency regions greater than the electron cyclotron frequency. The theory has been confirmed by an experiment in a magnetoplasma.
