This paper deals with the electromagnetic heating of biological bodies that have been modeled by homogeneous plane layers and exposed to plane waves. The thermoregulatory properties of such biological layers are assumed to be nonlinear functions of the local temperature, and the cooling of their external surfaces is taken into account. The space-time thermal response is obtained by using a numerical program based on the method of finite differences.
