Scattering by parallel plates

The scattering of electromagnetic fields from the parallel plates is analysed by the use of a new formulation. All the field representations to formulate the equations are expressed by the formal solutions of the Wiener-Hopf equation for a plate. The mutual fields defined by the multiple scattering due to the parallel plates can be determined by the continuity condition of fields on the fictitious boundary which is set at an arbitrary position between two plates. Numerical results of the obtained far field are presented and compared with the results by the GTD method.
