Summary

During the IMS, two auroral zone magnetometer networks have been operated in Northern Europe: The Scandinavian Magnetometer Array (SMA) and the Iceland Magnetometer Network (IMN). All magnetometers monitored the perturbations of the earth's magnetic field continuously–SMA during the whole IMS, IMN only during the first half – and all produced about 80–90% usable data.
